Bring a pot of your best chilli recipie for sharing and judging.

This it one of the best events of the spring and is a great way to bring new potential members around to see what SSC is all about. If you are thinking about joining Southern Sailing come by check us out.

SSC is gearing up

Yes, spring is coming and it is that time again to renew your membership in SSC. It is tempting with busy schedules to forget how much we value our spare time activities and how SSC embraces the common joy of being on the water.

Of course the spring event kickoff is the not to be missed Chill cook off but that does not mean you should not renew you membership early. The members define the club and as such we treasure not only your dues but your volunteer spirit which these makes events special.

PS. I like my chilli spicy hot!!!!

Cruising

Cruising Note

The SSC Cruising Schedule for 2010 has been posted to the web site. Several of these do not have a Skipper in charge or a location. If a Skipper cannot be found or volunteered, one will be appointed, by hailing Channel 68 :-)

Many of us will routinely go out for ad hoc gatherings and overnights on weekends other than the schedule. If plans can be made available I will gladly post to the SSC web site. Other wise Hailing Channel 68 will put you in touch with your fellow SSC Cruiser (ie. the Volunteer Skipper).

I am looking for new cruising and anchoring locations this year. If you have any suggestions please email the info cruisingcommodore@southernsailing.org

I urge each and everyone of you to get out and get on your boat...dust off the winter cobwebs, check your lines, and set sail.

Fair winds,

Capt. Jimbo

We're back on VHF 68. The problem has been fixed.
