The LORMAND CUP is SSC'S single handed race and it is held on May 10. There is a perpetual trophy that the winner is given at the Commodore's Ball in January This is a club race and the entry fee is $5. The skipper's meeting is at 10:00 AM and the base start time is noon. Come out and enjoy the challenge. | ||

The Newcomer's Race was held on May 17 and seven boats were in the race. In the spinnaker fleet Linda Webster was first and Paul Warner was second; in the non-spinnaker fleet Beau Cutts was first and Waine Ratliff was second; in the cruiser feet George Chretlen was first, Dennis Abell was second and Duane Truet was Third. The BBQ event was attended by the SSC sailors and the Barefoot SC Women Skippers sailors. A good time was had by all. | ||
