2019 Low Country Boil
Ahoy Sailors, Let's (kick) sail into summer, and get into the mood to prepare for Southern Sailing's Low Country Boil. Saturday, June 1, at the pavilion inside Aqualand Marina. Pavilion is at immediate left, after guardhouse gate entrance. Festivities will start around 4:00 pm and yummy food should be ready to eat around 6:00. We'll have fizzy water and soft drinks, as well as beer (Yuengling and Bud Lite) plus red and white wine. Our SSC master cook Bird Fleming and others will be here to add real Cajun tastes, exemplified by last year's Commodore, John Schewe. Come sit around a fine summer sunshine day to enjoy this free food in your sailing club. Bring some extra folding or camp chairs. (But don't bring dogs or other pets.) There is no charge, a must-do free event for all members, to start your summer. Bring all your many friends at $5/per adult; or twist their arms to join our club. Associate membership is only $30/year = half of 5/a month! It's important that you confirm the number of people in your party attending, so we can order and cook sufficient food. Sign-up sheet is coming, but don't wait! Inform us now: Happy Fun Sailing |

However, I don't have to give a final head count until the morning of Monday the 21st. I hope some of you "on the fence" will be able to make it. Take care, John Schewe |
